We add cardamom to Javazen Pumpkin Spice to recreate the tastes of Autumn
What is Cardamom?
Cardamom is a citrusy spice produced from the seed pods of several plants in the ginger family. It is widely cultivated and consumed primarily throughout India, with some production coming from Bangladesh, Tibet, Nepal and other surrounding countries.
Cardamom grows on a triangular, green plant in the ground. Its seed pods can be green, white or dark brown in color and ellipsoid and bean-like in shape. Contained inside the delicate, paperlike pods are the black, floral cardamom seeds which are used to produce the widely used spice. Most often, the black seeds are ground up into a smoky, fine powder, otherwise known as cardamom powder.
What are Cardamom’s health benefits?
Cardamom has been revered for centuries to promote optimal health and well-being. We know for certain that cardamom provides the body and mind with an array of vitamins, minerals, and other compounds such as amino acids and antioxidants essential for good health.
Because of cardamom’s delicious taste and its variety of health benefits, we’ve incorporated this spice into our Pumpkin Spice blend. The energizing effects of the cardamom, when combined with our Tulsi tea, ginger, turmeric and cloves, create a synergy of balanced energy that will keep you feeling good throughout your day.
